What is Ortho-Bionomy?
Ortho-Bionomy is a neurological- and structure-based work that works with the body’s ability to self-correct without pain or force. The key elements of the work is our ability to work with the nervous system . The brilliance of the work is the interweaving, without pain, the body’s ability to understand its own condition and allowing self-correction to shift the body. Healing from within. It is a simple organic work that recognizes the body’s ability to understand itself as a whole and addresses that intelligence. The neurological element can inspire the body into self-recognition and deep healing.
The Principles of the work are the core of how an Ortho-Bionomist approaches the body. The simple but timeless principles influence and allow the body to calm itself, reorganize and reverse many conditions. It is organic and allows the natural reflexes that work within our nervous system to communicate and orient to the whole.
Ortho-Bionomy is Osteopath-based and includes working with structure, lymph, fluids, neurology, organs and the endocrine system. The work is based on comfort and allowing the body to relax into a new understanding and often opening up neurological conversations that assist and speed up the process of healing.
Ortho-Bionomy is the most whole modality of any that I have studied. At its center is respect for the individual at all levels of being. My Practice of Ortho-Bionomy has confirmed for me the wondrous effects of approaching the individual as a living whole: body, mind, emotions, energy, soul and spirit.
